Over the last week, Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC) held new draws in the pools of International Experience Canada (IEC). From September 2 to September 8, Canada invited 1,961 young foreigners to apply for an IEC open work permit. As of September 8, 35,812 candidates were registered in the pool and waiting for the invitation. In this round, there were 213 ITAs for Australia, 2 ITAs for Austria, 33 ITAs for Belgium, 169 ITAs for Chile, 16 ITAs for Costa Rica, 4 ITAs for Croatia, 30 ITAs for the Czech Republic, 6 ITAs for Denmark, 2 ITAs for Estonia, 6 ITAs for Finland, 97 ITAs for France, 123 ITAs for Germany, 2 ITAs for Greece, 4 ITAs for Hong Kong, 2 ITAs for Iceland, 98 ITAs for Ireland, 105 ITAs for Italy, 185 ITAs for Japan, 149 ITAs for Korea, 3 ITAs for Lithuania, 1 ITA for Luxembourg, 37 ITAs for the Netherlands, 54 ITAs for New Zealand, 2 ITAs for Norway, 19 ITAs for Poland, 14 ITAs for Portugal, 9 ITAs for Slovakia, 4 ITAs for Slovenia, 14 ITAs for Spain, 10 ITAs for Sweden, 5 ITAs for Switzerland, 494 ITAs for Taiwan, and 49 ITAs for the United Kingdom. In 2024, Canada issued 114,949 ITAs under the IEC Program.
