Over the last week, Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC) held new draws in the pools of International Experience Canada (IEC). From January 13 to January 20, Canada invited 7,539 young foreigners to apply for an IEC open work permit. As of January 20, there were 24,317 candidates registered in the pool, waiting for the invitation. In this round, there were 425 ITAs for Australia, 12 ITAs for Austria, 89 ITAs for Belgium, 57 ITAs for Costa Rica, 18 ITAs for Croatia, 106 ITAs for the Czech Republic, 25 ITAs for Denmark, 14 ITAs for Estonia, 2,243 ITAs for France, 54 ITAs for Greece, 34 ITAs for Hong Kong, 648 ITAs for Ireland, 178 ITAs for Italy, 386 ITAs for Japan, 1,200 ITAs for Korea, 6 ITAs for Latvia, 138 ITAs for Lithuania, 2 ITAs for Luxembourg, 95 ITAs for the Netherlands, 170 ITAs for New Zealand, 9 ITAs for Norway, 52 ITAs for Poland, 83 ITAs for Portugal, 176 ITAs for Slovakia, 4 ITAs for Slovenia, 195 for Spain, 25 ITAs for Sweden, 10 ITAs for Switzerland, 360 ITAs for Taiwan, and 725 ITAs for the United Kingdom. In 2023, Canada issued 19,349 ITAs under the IEC Program.
