On June 28, 2022, the province of Ontario released the new nomination allocation quota for the Ontario Immigrant Nominee Program (OINP). The annual quota for Ontario under the Provincial Nominee Program will be 9,750 in 2022, 1,150 more than last year. Last year, the province nominated 8,600 candidates to apply for permanent residence with Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC). Since the last update on the issuance of nomination certificates, the Ontario Ministry of Labour, Training and Skills Development issued nominations to 1,275 foreign nationals. In total, as of June 28, 2022, Ontario nominated 4,374 individuals to apply for PR in Canada under the OINP.
